About us

The West Coast, South Island, New Zealand.

Know as the beauty of New Zealand, the West Coast hosts many attractions such as the Pancake Rocks (Punakaiki), black water rafting through glowworm caves, waterfalls and lush green rain forests.

Just 10 minutes drive north of Greymouth, at the foot of the Paparoa Range, Dunollie is one of the few remaining classic mining settlements. Today a mere shadow of her former self the village is one part of the long mining history of the Grey District.

The present Hotel was built around 1925-26 on the site of the original (circa 1910) following it's destruction through fire.

With the Point Elizabeth Walkway, Rapahoe Beach just 5 minutes west on the Coast Road and thePancake Rocks & Blow Holes a mere 40 minutes north, and Shantytown a short 25 minutes to the South the Dunollie Hotel is a perfect central base for the budget minded traveller.
